The odds are very high that Amy McGrath will win the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate to take on Moscow Mitch this year in Kentucky.  In fact, you can tell that she is going to be the nominee because she outraised Moscow Mitch in fundraising.  The Democratic Establishment and some other grassroot sources have decided to more than adequately fund her campaign.  More importantly, she’s gone on the offensive multiple times against Moscow Mitch already with political attack ads.  NOTE:  I have never seen this being done against Moscow MItch, not this early at least.  Frankly, I think the ads are effective. 

Here is the latest ad in response to another self-congratulatory Moscow Mitch TV ad:

It calls BS on all the corporate ballouts that Moscow MItch is pushing, along with the STUPID idea to let states go bankrupt.

And I do think that Moscow Mitch’s “austerity for thee but not for me” suggestion is a clunker of a bad idea.  Some on Daily Kos have suggested it is all part of some scheme of Moscow Mitch to bankrupt pension funds and destroy unions.  It’s possible.  

But bankrupting the states — red and blue — would definitely cause another Great Depression.  And here is why I think that Moscow Mitch may be losing it.  Normally, Moscow Mitch loves to cause austerity or risk the good faith of the American government and currency when a Democrat is in the White House.  This way it’s a twofer.  You weaken the economy to try and get the Democrat defeated in the next election — he tried this under Obama.  And you can extort from the Democrat just about anything in order not to jeopardize the credit rating of the U.S.  This is what Moscow Mitch did to Obama about raising the debt ceiling limit.

So why the hell would Moscow Mitch want to further tank the American economy?  Trump is in the White House, and the Satanic Turtle is up for reelection this year.  A Great Depression economy isnot going to help either.

The answer may be as simple as this is a political reflex for Moscow Mitch.  Think about it.  McConnell can’t get real things done in the Senate, except pass judges.  Otherwise, his whole Senate career has been trying to destroy any Democrat in the White House.   And to do this, he just had to become “The Grim Reaper.”

He brags about killing Democratic bills.  But anyone know of any great Republican bills that Moscow Mitch has passed, except a huge tax cut for the wealthy?  Moscow MItch is a political arsonist.  He only knows how to destroy.  

He destroyed the Senate to make it dysfunctional under Obama.  He imposed austerity to hurt Americans and make them vote against Democrats.   And he blocked Merrick Garland to the SCOTUS.

Therefore, when you ask Moscow Mitch about the DEMOCRATS idea for more money for the states, what is the first fucking thing out of his mouth?  Yes, he’s done enough already for those dirty Democrats and their constituents!  Let them go bankrupt!  Oh sticking this knife into them feels soooooo good!

Moscow Mitch just had to convince some other Republican senators of the joys of shitting on 1) their own voters, 2) their respective election chances this year, and 3) making life difficult for the Orange Ape in the White House.  You may have noticed that it wasn’t necessarily all the Democratic outrage over his stupid suggestion that made him backtrack.  Many of his fellow Republican senators are say, “Not so damn fast Mitch!”

To make a long story short, Moscow Mitch isn’t as smart as some think.  He’s out of his depth trying to manage the Orange Ape and preserve his Senate majority.  He’s good at slashing at Democrats, but he sucks when it comes to helping manage a crisis like the coronavirus pandemic.  Moscow Mitch’s first instinct is using this as an opportunity to reward huge corporations and campaign donors, and he thinks that allowing more church goers to attend church without social distancing is just fine.

Meanwhile, that stupid idea wil get some of his voters dead.

I am telling you that Moscow Mitch may have some cunning, but he is a two trick pony only:  reward campaign donors and screw Democrats.  Ask him to think outside the box, and he can’t.

And there wil be Amy McGrath with all that money calling BS on Moscow Mitch.
