So I looked at this subreddit and it seems that some people associated to pro-war think-tanks are moderating the r/Afghanistan subreddit, and I was interested to know why they would want to have social media presence, especially if the controversial view of a member could give them bad press. Even if they're not moderating the subreddit, they seem to have at least an official presence on YouTube and Facebook, what are the pros and cons of having social media presence for a think-tank? Because I can't really think of any pro.
