NC-09: Sen. Cory Booker (D. NJ) Refuses To Let The GOP Get Away With Election Fraud

Received this e-mail from U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D. NJ) in support of Dan McCready’s (D. NC-09) campaign:

There is a grave situation going on in North Carolina’s 9th district right now.

Democrat Dan McCready is a Marine veteran who has always put people over politics and has never lost sight of what hardworking North Carolinians need most. His House race came down to a razor-thin margin — when the counting was done, his Republican opponent ended up with about 900 more votes. It was one of the closest Congressional races in the country.

But the story doesn’t end there.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections has refused to certify Republican Mark Harris’ victory and declare him the winner amid mounting evidence of an intricate election fraud scheme that may have altered the outcome of the race.

State investigators looking into the alleged fraud have singled out a GOP consultant as a “person of interest.” The evidence points to a coordinated attempt to deliver votes for Mark Harris and suppress votes for Dan McCready.

It looks increasingly likely that the NC State Board of Elections will call for a new election in this district, giving Dan another chance to run for a seat he may have already won.

And that’s why we need your help to ensure Dan has every resource possible to run another whole-hearted campaign. Will you join me in supporting Dan by donating $10?

The fight in North Carolina is bigger than this district. Our democracy depends on the outcome of this race.

We can’t sit back and do nothing in the face of election fraud.

Giving Dan McCready the chance to fight in a fair election should be a given. Please help us make sure Dan’s campaign has everything he needs to continue fighting →
