I listened to Mitch McConnell’s post impeachment weaselling, he could not refute the impeachment managers accusations or facts, so he then shielded himself behind a very weak and dubious legal argument excuse.

HOWEVER.

Virtually every single GQP member before January 6th supported the narcissistic sociopath in everything he did. There was no badge of courage earned by any of them.

Every GQP congressperson and 75 million people voted for a wannabe Dictator, and that is the best of his qualities.

Even after the 6th the vast majority still support this wreck of a human being.

Warning them of the rotten core did nothing because they are the rotten core.

A very few want to take their party back, where to I ask. Reagan? Jeebus.

I call bullshit.

All my life it has been very evident where the GQP were heading and wanted to be.

The GQP laid the very foundations for the overturning of sense and sensibility. They paved the way for the religious and racial bigotry on show on the 6th.

• When was the last time they found a wedge issue they did not like?
• When was the last time they had a list of policies other than tax cuts and deregulation.
• When was the last time they supported scientific reality?
• When was the last time they objected to voter suppression?

How can a national party knowing they cannot win when the turnout is high keep doing the same old thing, the last thing they will vote for is any change to the electoral college or the senate.

The only way forward in their blinkered view of the United States is to travel down the same beaten and odious path. We will win if only we can prevent people of colour from voting.

Their party is ripe for the next bible thumping wannabe dictator, if they can get rid of the current one that is.
