The Wall Street Journal/NBC News Poll shows three top Democratic candidates defeating Donald Trump, while one is in a virtual tie.
Joe Biden 51% | Trump 42% | Trump -9 | |
---|---|---|---|
Bernie Sanders 50% | Trump 43% | Trump -7 | |
Elizabeth Warren 48% | Trump 43% | Trump -5 | |
Kamala Harris 45% | Trump 44% | Trump -1 |
Still unable to lure more than 44% against any of the Democratic candidates, Trump is stuck at about the same level as his approval rating, which is 45% in this poll.
Trump’s best numbers come with Republicans (89 percent approve), rural voters (62 percent), men (53 percent), those ages 50-64 (53 percent) and whites (52 percent).
His worst numbers are with Democrats (just 7 percent approve), African Americans (18 percent), Latinos (29 percent), women (38 percent) and voters ages 18-34 (32 percent).
One might recall, however, that Hillary Clinton led Trump in 2016 polls and received 2.1% more votes (48.2%-46.1%) but still lost.
The WSJ/NBC Poll has a margin of error of 3.5%.
