WI-Gov: Former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D. VA) Helps Tony Evers (D) Take Down Scott Walker (R)

Received this e-mail yesterday from former Governor Terry McAuliffe (D. VA) in support of Tony Evers (D. WI) gubernatorial campaign:

Tony Evers (D. WI)

In just 39 days, the House, Senate, and 36 governor’s races are on the line — and we all need to do our part to ensure Democrats win big this year.

That’s why I’ve been busy traveling throughout the country supporting Democrats in governor’s races from Rhode Island to Nevada. Last week, my travels brought me to Wisconsin, where Democrat Tony Evers is challenging the notorious Republican incumbent Scott Walker in a race that’s going to be extremely close.

You might remember Scott Walker from the Republican presidential debates in 2016. Well, since dropping out of that race he’s been focused on repealing the Affordable Care Act, threatening protections for folks with pre-existing conditions, and cutting public education funding.

Tony Evers is fighting to protect Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions, lower the cost of health insurance, expand workers' rights, and invest in public education. As a lifelong educator and Wisconsin’s current State Superintendent of Schools, Tony believes public schools are the heart and soul of communities and are essential to sustainable economic growth.

Their race is neck and neck — a recent poll showed that Tony has a narrow lead, prompting a Trump-like Twitter tantrum from Scott Walker. Tony has momentum on his side, but he needs our help to make it through these final 39 days until the election. Chip in what you can now to help elect Tony Evers as the next Governor of Wisconsin →
