In solidarity, Mike Hersh and Mike Fox for Alan, Shayna, Deb, Kimberly, Bryan, Dr. Bill, Dan, and Janis—your PDA national team.
Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) and allies marched from Freedom Tower and rallied outside of the Democratic Presidential Debate site in Miami, FL. yesterday, demanding that the DNC hold a debate on the Climate Emergency.
We made so much noise that Bernie Sanders came by to see us, and we look forward to an even larger presence at the second night of debates. We’re rallying with our Medicare For All coalition allies to increase pressure on those candidates who have yet to cosponsor or support the Medicare For All Act.
We are taking a leap of faith—putting our money where our hearts and minds are—investing in a half-page Miami Herald ad publicizing our demand for a Democratic Presidential Debate on the Climate Emergency. The ad ran in this morning’s paper.

The ad features an open letter recently signed by our own Executive Director Alan Minsky and Senior Strategic Adviser Russell Greene, along with environmental luminaries like Tom Weiss of Climate Crisis Solutions, Bill McKibben of 350.org, Anne Leonard of Greenpeace, award-winning filmmaker Josh Fox, and many more.
We encourage you to sign on that letter as well—especially if you can speak for an organization—and share it far and wide. And, if you haven’t already done so, Click Here to let us know who you support for president!
Are your hearts and minds with us in this battle for survival? If so, then together we will win the hearts and minds of the public at large, the DNC, as well as the presidential candidates, and then we will win this existential struggle
