MCALLEN, TX - NOVEMBER 01: Immigrant asylum seekers wait to receive aid at the Humanitarian Respite Center after being released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), on November 1, 2018 in McAllen, Texas. Days before U.S. midterm elections President Donald Trump announced plans to deny asylum seekers who don't present themselves at official ports of entry. The number of families seeking asylum has surged along the southern border, especially in South Texas' Rio Grande Valley in 2018, despite stricter border enforcement policies. This is a total disaster and a stain on America.  This is also worse than a shame and disgrace.  Where is the International Human rights Advocacy?

The ghastly, first-hand account of the conditions was given by lawyers and a board-certified physician, Dr. Dolly Lucio Sevier, who visited holding facilities in McAllen, Texas, and the Clint center, also in that state. Dr. Sevier was as quoted on Good Morning America on June 24, saying the facilities were “torture chambers.” The team’s descriptions of the conditions facing the children, the youngest of whom was only 2 ½ months old, can only be classified as horrific.

Dr. Sevier, who has a private practice in the area, was given access to the to the Ursula facility in McAllen, the largest immigrant detention center in the country, after attorneys found there was a flu outbreak that sent five infants to the neonatal intensive care unit.

This is inhumane.   These children did nothing.  These children are being tortured.

This used to be America.   Remember this on the  4th as you raise your flag rightside up and rethink the position of that flag.  Is America in distress?  I say it is.
