As she walked through Ronald Reagan airport, Senator Krysten Sinema of Arizona was confronted by climate activists over her ongoing obstruction of the 3.5 trillion dollars build-back better plan. The 3.5 plan is where the majority of climate provisions can be found. It is strongly opposed by the fossil fuel interests that haunt the halls of congress.

The former Green Party activist who campaigned for Ralph Nader in 2000 (which helped Goerge W Bush win the presidential election over Al Gore in Florida) never responded as they asked questions about her attempts to derail the fight against climate change as well as other issues. She blew off one green activist who was terrified of this summer's wildfires when they surrounded her home.

She had no hesitation to bark over the house vote against her watered-down bipartisan bill packed with goodies for the fossil fuel industries though. She needs to answer and stop weaving and bobbing over questions on her commitment to the progressive humane policies of the Democratic party.

I've only seen commentary from radical right-wing sites on the airport confrontation. This blockquote is from the Washington Examiner, which I refuse to link to.

At Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington, D.C., Green New Deal Network chief of staff Kunoor Ojha and several others shouted questions at the Arizona senator while she was trying to have a phone conversation.

“Hi, Sen. Sinema? I want to ask if you can explain to the American people what you're planning on cutting from Joe Biden's ‘Build Back Better’ plan?” Ojha asked. “Do you want to cut climate priorities? Is it elder care that you want to cut, or is it child care?”

While on the flight, a young woman named Karina came up to Sinema’s seat to confront her about supporting DACA.

Sinema has also been confronted over her obstinance on immigration while she was on the plane by a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) advocate.

Both confrontations followed an incident where she was followed into the bathroom by immigration activists at Arizona State University.

I'll repeat it for any sympathizers out there. Sinema and Manchin along with every single GQP senator in the McConnell cabal are all doing their level best to kill the planet and every single lifeform on it. They just are.

There is no do-over for the biosphere, this is the last opportunity we will ever have to make a dent in the trajectory where we are headed.

She and Manchin need to explain why they have the right to do this, they are not Gods. The media needs to tell us why she and Manchin get a pass for benefiting from the generosity of fossil fuel and other corporations that are killing us.

From Inside Climate News:

In Kyrsten Sinema’s 2009 book, Unite and Conquer: How to Build Coalitions That Win and Last, she described the necessity of working with Republicans so she could “get something done.”

But after months when Sen. Sinema (D-Ariz.) has defiantly snubbed a $3.5 trillion reconciliation package that contains the bulk of President Joe Biden’s plan for tackling climate change, many Democrats think she just may have gone too far.

“Now she’s working with Republicans to get nothing done,” said Sandy Bahr, executive director of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra Club.

“If she’s not supporting strong climate policy, then she’s definitely out of step with Arizonans,” said Bahr, a veteran environmental activist who has worked for Sinema’s campaigns and who said that, in a state with too little water and way too much heat, voters grasp the need for urgent climate action.

“They get it; they see it; they’re living it,” she said.

This is what democracy looks like. Cherish it for as long as you can because two D senators refuse to get rid of the filibuster. You know who they are.
