TX-23: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D. NY) Helps Gina Ortiz Jones (D) Flip These Seat From Red To Blue

2 min read

Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D. NY) in support of Gina Ortiz Jones’ (D. TX-23) congressional campaign:

Gina Ortiz Jones (D. TX-23)

Hello, it’s Senator Kirsten Gillibrand sending you a personal note about my friend, Gina Ortiz Jones. But before I tell you why, I have a quick request:

Will you donate $25 today to help Gina meet her end-of-quarter fundraising goal? Her fundraising report will be made public in a matter of days, and we need to make sure Washington Republicans and dark money groups don’t start pouring in millions of dollars to defeat her because they think her campaign is vulnerable.

I’ve been supporting Gina’s campaign from day one, and I’m so impressed with her poise, experience and dedication to serving her community and our country.

From providing quality, affordable health care to all, to raising the minimum wage, to fighting to uphold our promise to our veterans and seniors, Gina is the kind of person we desperately need in Congress fighting for the American people.

But we know this is one of the most competitive races in the country. Gina is fighting an uphill battle against dark money special interests hellbent on making sure she doesn’t flip this red district blue. That’s why I’m asking you to donate $25 towards Gina’s public end-of-quarter fundraising goal today.

Now more than ever, we need leaders like Gina. I would be honored to work with her in Congress. Please help us get her there.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand
