Trump reportedly 'furious' at Mark Meadows for blowing his big COVID lie
Donald Trump wants to project a hale and hearty mien, even though he’s basically a VW Beetle-sized hunk of whale blubber wrapped in extra crispy chicken skin, Nickelodeon slime, and shamelessness.
So yesterday, as Dr. Nick Riviera and his team were dissembling up a storm in front of Walter Reed Medical Center, Trump was likely pretty happy, all things considered.

President Donald Trump is furious with chief of staff Mark Meadows after the top West Wing official contradicted the White House physician's assessment Saturday of the President's health, two sources with knowledge of the situation told CNN on Sunday.
Meadows is now widely known inside the White House to be the unnamed source who spoke to reporters following the medical briefing yesterday and offered a more dire assessment than Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley had given shortly before. That reporting was initially given to a pool of reporters attributed to an official familiar with the President's condition. Later, the Associated Press and the New York Times identified that official as Meadows.
Trump is outraged at Meadows over the botched message, according to a senior Trump adviser.
Of course, to Trump a “botched message” is just another term for “the truth.”
Any chance we’ll see yet another chief of staff? That would tie Trump with Barack Obama, who served eight years to Trump’s — well, technically zero years, but let’s be generous and say three-plus.
This isn’t terribly surprising, of course. Lies are all Donald Trump has, so when you destroy one of them, it’s like killing one of his children. And one of the “good” ones — not Eric or Tiffany.
But, hey, why should he change now?
I look forward to the next dispatch from Dr. Baghdad Bob. Until then, I guess we’ll just have to wait to see if Trump’s semi-ambulant carcass gets choppered back to the White House sometime next week or if he lingers like the low-energy wad of adipose he is.
