Received a few e-mails today from some big-name Virginia Democrats. The first one from U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D. VA)
This email is part of a series about flipping the Virginia General Assembly this November. We have a chance to elect a Democratic majority for the first time in two decades — that’s why I’m supporting candidates in key races during the home stretch of their campaigns.
This election is going to come down to the wire, so I’m asking for your support right now for these strong Democrats in critical districts.

Thank you for your support!
In May of last year, Virginia lawmakers passed a budget that expanded Medicaid in our state. It went into effect January 2019 and as of August had covered an extra 300,000 Virginians.
This is why elections matter. Elections have consequences — both good and bad — and if we’re going to build on the progress we’ve made, we need to do everything we can to flip the legislature blue in November.
As a former Mayor of Richmond and Governor of Virginia, I know the importance of having a Democratic legislature that cares about expanding protections for those who are most vulnerable.
A Democratic majority will give leaders in Richmond the chance to pass legislation — like Medicaid expansion — that will make a real difference in people’s lives, whether they’re students, workers, parents, or all three.

The second e-mail today came from former Governor Terry McAuliffe (D. VA):
We are four days away making history in Virginia.
For the first time in 26 years, Virginia Democrats would control the House, Senate, and Governorship: a trifecta that will push the Commonwealth forward with a strong economic platform and progressive agenda.
I wanted to share with you today's Washington Post story about the stakes of this year's election and what I have seen in the 122 events I have done for Virginia Democrats. It has been quite a ride.
We are so close to the finish line and taking the majority. I sincerely thank you for all of your help and support along the way.
If you can, please consider giving to the Democratic Party of Virginia's Get Out the Vote Fund so their organizers on the ground have the resources they need to get across the finish line.
