Since we have allowed ourselves to sink into the wormhole of conspiracies like QAnon and election fraud, my contribution is Warhammer. I actually know little about the dark arts, or how serious its followers are, but in my word searches I found out that an encyclopedia exists for its aficionados. I am still trying to understand Game of Thrones so I am well out of my element but, within the aptly named Lexicanum is a creature named Slaanesh. Slaanesh is also known as the Chaos God. Amongst the creature's attributes are lust, greed, excess, pain, pleasure, perfection, and hedonism. Slaanesh is the last born of the Chaos Gods and arose from the fall of the Eldar civilization. Okay, now that you are as confused as I am, how does this relate to politics; you ask?
Donald Trump revealed in a one-hour and two-minute long phone conversation that included the Georgia Secretary of State [Brad Raffensperger] and Mr. Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, that chaos is the ruler of his crumbling kingdom. Mr. Trump tried greed, excess, and pleasure and eventually all but threatened to send Luca Brasi to leave a severed horse’s head in the bed of Georgia election officials. After countless and fruitless efforts to logically explain to the President that he legitimately lost his bid for a second term, Mr. Trump responded to Raffensperger with a threat,
“… it is more illegal for you than it is for them because, you know what they did and you're not reporting it. That's a criminal, that's a criminal offense. And you can't let that happen. That's a big risk to you and to Ryan, your lawyer. And that's a big risk,” said Trump.
The willingness of the growing numbers of Republicans, whom we are constantly told are steadfast and patriotic Americans, who are engaging in sedition is shocking. In reality, this iteration of the Republican Party is a continuation of their recent business as usual. The GOP has excused Mr. Trump’s impeachable offenses with phrases like he has ‘learned his lesson’ and ‘shameful and wrong.’ They seem to favor corruption over the Constitution, just ask Merrick Garland. The lesson Mr. Trump has learned is that the GOP’s Eldar has truly fallen and chaos reigns supreme. So now we have another phone recording of the President of the United States for a second time attempting to subvert the American election process. First with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and now with American election officials.
How much shame and lesson learning do Republicans need before they rediscover their spines, stand up straight and say, ‘no more.’ Unfortunately, before that happens we will be subjected, Wednesday, to hours of meaningless debate based on innuendo, rumor, and nutty accusations proliferated by members of Congress anxious to bootlick Donald Trump. Truly, anyone with a lick of brains realizes that these appeals for people to take to the streets, bringing with them their anger and potential for violence, in reality, is a fundraising ploy to keep the wool pulled over the eyes of their minions. Joe Biden offers to restore decency to an Oval of Iniquity; Ossoff and Warnock will help Biden/Harris corral the GOP.
