The aftermath of the 2020 election has proven to any skeptical American that the GOP has gone to POT—the Party of Trump. The party is being overrun by conspiracists of every stripe; white supremacists, sexual fantasist, seditionist, and fact denying Trump cultists. The unyielding crazy of this political virus has spread within the GOP as quickly and as unceasingly as the Coronavirus. Corruption and immorality spread from the top down, which makes me believe the GOP elephant should be replaced with a rotting fish-head. Paul Alexander has become the latest symbol of Trump-atrocity.
With the ever-growing numbers of deaths from Covid-19 well over 300,000, babies taken at the southern border still crying out for momma, and American soldiers being left to wonder why the bounties put on their heads were not addressed, here comes Paul Alexander. Alexander is the most recent member of the Trump cabal to leave us shaking our heads with mouths agog. Over and over again, Trump spokespeople lambasted critics of Mr. Trump who said his sketchy Covid-19 pandemic plan was toothless and numbingly incoherent. It was as if he wanted us to die from his inaction critics would say, with the reply from the administration being that anyone with that thought was suffering from Trump-derangement-syndrome.
Well, Health and Human Services adviser Paul Alexander, is the walking, talking smoking gun. “We need to establish herd [immunity], and it only comes about allowing the non-high-risk groups expose themselves to the virus. PERIOD. Infants, kids, teens, young people, young adults, middle-aged with no conditions etc. have zero to little risk…so we use them to develop herd…we want them infected” Alexander wrote his superiors on July 4th. The callousness with which Alexander spoke stands in stark contrast to decency and the Hippocratic oath to first do no harm.
In a blood-curdling follow-up email, Alexander went further, “So the bottom line is if it is more infectiouness [sic] now, the issue is who cares? If it is causing more cases in young, my word is who cares…as long as we make sensible decisions, and protect the elderely [sic] and nursing homes, we must go on with life….who cares if we test more and get more positive tests.” Alexander continued, “We essentially took off the battlefield the most potent weapon we had…younger healthy people, children, teens, young people who we needed to fastly [sic] infect themselves, spread it around, develop immunity, and help stop the spread.”
