The “Everything Terrible Trump Has Done So Far” Omnibus (Week 154)

1 min read

As part of the ongoing project to catalog every awful thing the Trump Administration has done as a reference for future political arguments and whatever few posterity survives to see 2020, here’s everything awful the Trump Administration has done this week.

  1. Substantially increased DACA renewal fees

1732. Shutdown a Federal database that tracks pollution

1733. Rolled back LED light bulb regulations

1734. Moved to hinder laws that allow undocumented workers to obtain drivers licenses

1735. Criticized by science board for EPA rollbacks

1736. Issued rule to restrict asylum eligibility

  1. Documents revealed that Trump himself had ordered halt to Ukraine aid

1738. Increased the backlog of toxic waste backlogs to the highest it’s been in 15 years

1739. Extended the term of Bureau of Land Management head William Pendley despite severe criticism

Happy New Year. This week was mostly a lot of smaller controversies. The Trump administration shut down a federal database that tracks pollution, while the backlog of toxic waste cleanups extended to a 15 year high. Moreover, documents were released revealing that Trump had directly ordered a halt to aid to Ukraine.

As always, I don’t expect to catch everything, so let me know if there’s anything you think I’ve missed. The full omnibus is being maintained here (a spreadsheet version can be found here). For an overall summary, click here.
