The “Everything Terrible Trump Has Done So Far” Omnibus (Week 139)

As part of the ongoing project to catalog every awful thing the Trump Administration has done as a reference for future political arguments and whatever few posterity survives to see 2020, here’s everything awful the Trump Administration has done this week.
1580. Cancelled California's GI bill approval power
1581. Claimed a nuclear war would be winnable
- Trump's appointment to the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh, came under calls for impeachment under mounting cases of sexual misconduct
1583. Ratcheted up hostilities with Iran after blaming it for the Yemeni drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities
1584. Claimed a joint UNC-Duke program “portrayed Islam too positively”
1585. Set a new record of 385,000 deportations in 2019
1586. Revoked the authority of states to set their own mileage standards
1587. Forced Congress to release climate studies it had buried
1588. Attracted a possible lawsuit over complaints brought by a whistle blower over Trump's interactions with Foreign leaders
1589. Expelled two Cuban diplomats
1590. Sued over attempts to divert funds for his border wall

Last many speculated that Trump’s dismissal of Bolton last week hinted at a dovish turn for the administration. However this week Trump moved quickly to disabuse everyone of that notion by attempting to stoke hostilities with Iran by blaming them for a drone attack on Saudi oil facilities, despite all evidence pointing to Yemen. Meanwhile, Trump shot down not only California’s fuel emission’s standards, but also their ability to deny GI bill money to shady for profit colleges.
As always, I don’t expect to catch everything, so let me know if there’s anything you think I’ve missed. The full omnibus is being maintained here (a spreadsheet version can be found here). For an overall summary, click here.
