It was a relatively quiet week in the Trump administration. At least it was until today when it appeared the administration was going to go ahead and declare a national emergency to get funding for a border wall it couldn’t get through legislation. This action seems likely to set off multiple long term legal battles in the coming year. Meanwhile, on the homefront millions of people across the country found that the Trump tax cuts weren’t as generous as they appeared at first, and started to realize that it was actually going to increase their tax burden.
