One “advantage” of having been hospitalized for 76 hours is that I was able to watch a substantial amount of the impeachment hearings on Wed and Fri.   While in general my thoughts were, as might  be expected, in general focused on other topics (including getting back to my students), I have been able to read/watch a fair amount of commentary.  This post will reflect that.

DUE WARNING — it will perhaps be somewhat pithier than my normal posting here.  I still suffer from one deficit as a result of Tuesday’s vascular event (aka “stroke”) and that is some difficulty typing.  I am hoping for a restoration of functionality equal to what I have regained in speech (now about 90%) but things are still slow  — it has taken more that 5 minutes to accurately type this much.
