Sheriff says spokesman who claimed Atlanta killer 'had a bad day' had, well, a bad day
So you saw this yesterday, of course. While describing alleged killer Robert Aaron Long’s heinous Atlanta-area crime spree, Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Jay Baker mentioned that Long had had a helluva day before traveling directly to, and shooting up, three discrete locations full of, you know, people. Spake Baker: “Investigators interviewed him this morning, and they got that impression that, yes, he understood the gravity of it, and he was pretty much fed up and at the end of his rope, and I guess it was a really bad day for him, and this is what he did.”
Of course, we later discovered that Baker had a history of racial insensitivity, having posted the following lovely plug for racist COVID swag on Facebook.
