A newly released poll by RMG Research finds that Republican Senator Susan Collins is losing 48% to 41% to Democratic challenger Sara Gideon in the state of Maine.
Joe Biden is leading in the Pine Tree state by 50% to 39% over Trump. Further, Trump’s approval is 43% in Maine while 56% disapprove of the job he is doing. Senator Collins’ approval rate is also underwater with 42% approving and 53% disapproving.
Biden’s approval is 52% favorable while 44% have an unfavorable view of the former Vice President. Gideon’s approval is 51% while 37% have an unfavorable opinion. This suggests Gideon’s approval may have some room to grow since not everyone has formed an opinion.
The survey was taken July 27 to August 2 of 500 registered Maine voters. The margin of error is 4.5%. RMG Research has a rating of B/C by 538.
