Schiff says Mueller congressional testimony is 'inevitable'

Now that Donald Trump and his playmates are just about done with their end zone celebration, it’s time to count the yellow flags on the field.

And there are a heck of a lot of them.

The latest? Robert Mueller will testify before Congress — at least according to House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, the Carolina reaper pepper in Donald Trump’s colon.

The Hill:

“I think it’s inevitable that Bob Mueller is going to have to testify before Congress,” Schiff said in an appearance on MSNBC's “Morning Joe,” noting that multiple congressional panels may have an interest in Mueller's testimony.

“We’ll have an interest in his testimony or others on the issue of the counterintelligence findings. And the Judiciary Committee, maybe the Oversight [and Reform] Committee as well, might have an interest in other aspects of investigation.”

Schiff added that the intel committee has “a statutory requirement that the intelligence community, FBI, brief us on any significant counterintelligence or intelligence activity.”

Can you imagine the tweetering that would coincide with such testimony?

Donald Trump naturally thought he’d dodged a bullet when his handpicked attorney general concluded, in a four-page summary of a 400-page report, that there was “nothing to see here.”

Well, I guess we’ll see about that, won’t we?
