Received this e-mail today from former presidential candidate, Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D. IN), in support of Jaime Harrison’s (D. SC) U.S. Senate campaign:
Jaime Harrison (D. SC)
This November, our country will make a decision about the character of America's future. A lot is on the table — including the Senate.
We must do away with the cruelty and division that have defined this era, and elect leaders who will build a better, more inclusive future for this country and the next generation.
That's why I'm excited to share with you that I have endorsed my friend Jaime Harrison in the inaugural round of candidates backed by our Win the Era PAC. And I'm going to do all I can to make sure weelect new, strong leaders — like Jaime —to the Senate this fall.
Americans deserve leaders who listen to our needs, and take the initiative to build a better, more equitable society where everyone can thrive. We deserve leaders who are responsive to our needs.Lindsey Graham is responsive only to his own political agenda and the demands of Donald Trump.
Jaime is proof that the American Dream works. Born and raised in Orangeburg, he went on to Yale and Georgetown before coming home to give back to the community that raised him.
He understands the struggles facing Americans — because he's lived them. And he'll bring that knowledge and compassion to the U.S. Senate.
