Rubio Doesn't Want to be “Punked” into Helping Blue States

Little Marco Rubio thinks the Covid-19 relief bill is all about helping Pelosi and Schumer:

At 1:49, he says this:

“I’m not going to get punked into voting for a bill that helps Pelosi bail out California, that helps Schumer bail out the predator Governor of New York.” (quote found on Political Wire)

He claims (incorrectly, of course) that the economic parts of the bill have nothing to do with stopping Covid, neatly overlooking that the bill is intended to help fix the economic disruption caused by Covid. That’s typical of Republican lies.

What is also typical — and revealing — is that he rejects this bill because it helps the Democrats. Incidentally — or perhaps not so incidentally — he names two of the states that send far more money to the federal government than they get back: New York has the highest negative balance, at $24.1 bn; California’s is $13.7 bn. Florida, on the other hand, has a positive balance of $62.4 BILLION. (All figures are from a 2019 report).

No wonder Rubio doesn’t want CA and NY to get  any.
