The Republican party has decided not to have a platform this year. Instead, they have issued a resolution saying that whatever Trump says, is fine with them.
WHEREAS, The RNC, had the Platform Committee been able to convene in 2020, would have undoubtedly unanimously agreed to reasser tthe Party’s strong support for President Donald Trump and his Administration;
RESOLVED, That the Republican Party has and will continue to enthusiastically support the President’s America–first agenda;
RESOLVED, That any motion to amend the 2016 Platform or to adopt a new platform, including any motion to suspend the procedures that will allow doing so, will be ruled out of order.
Oh and by the way, if the media tries to make anything out of this, it’s all fake news:
WHEREAS, The media has outrageously misrepresented the implications of the RNC not adopting anew platform in 2020 and continues to engage in misleading advocacy for the failed policies of the Obama–Biden Administration, rather than providing the public with unbiased reporting of facts;
Nothing to see here, folks. Pay no attention to the elephant carcass in the living room. It is really and totally Trump’s party now. The only safe way out for the United States as a functioning country, never mind a democracy, is the complete and absolute destruction of the Gross Old Party.
