Prevent War, and Stop Trump’s Hateful, Racist Wall!

During this past week, Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) stepped up our activism on the most important issues and increased our organizing to elect progressives to office.

Yesterday’s presidential debate disappointingly failed to focus on critically important issues—especially poverty and climate—but once again Bernie Sanders distinguished himself as the candidate most closely aligned with the people.

Bernie consistently proves he’s dedicated to leading the mass movement we need to fundamentally change the current unfair, unjust, and exploitative system. Bernie would not only defeat Trump in November, but he would also reverse the damaging policies enacted by Trump, Bush, and Reagan.

While Trump remains the personification of the rigged system, he’s just the latest in a line of imperial presidents—virtual emperors who’ve subverted the will of the people, coddled oligarchs, and enacted a neoliberal and neoconservative agenda to the detriment of the 99%.

We must fundamentally change the status quo. The system is rigged. It’s not enough to just replace Trump as its manager. We have a huge task before us. Almost all Congressional Republicans and far too many Democrats enable and empower Trump.

The same week the House impeached Trump, it also voted for massive overspending on weapons and another military branch—weaponizing space in violation of international agreements. House Democrats also approved Trump’s NAFTA 2.0, and other damaging, regressive policies.

We must work to upgrade the Congress by working to nominate empowered, committed progressives in the primaries, and by defeating every single Cover Up Republican at the polls this year, in 2022, and every election year.

The Trump Administration continues building its racist, impotent, and demonstrably ineffective border wall. Parts of the wall blew down recently, and other parts involve desecration of Native American historic burial sites that had been protected by national monument status, but defiled by Trump’s folly.

Ignoring environmental, safety, and fair-bidding regulations, the Trump administration is using eminent domain to seize private land from Americans. Congress must act to halt this dangerous idiocy.
