In the race for the White House, former Vice President Joe Biden opens up a big lead over President Trump. Voters back Biden 51 – 38 percent over Trump. In an April 22nd poll, it was close with Biden at 46 percent and Trump at 42 percent.

“The president doesn't escape the shifting moods and concerns of voters in Florida. His sagging numbers are a gut punch from one of the key states he keenly hopes to win,” Malloy added.

Quinnipiac also asked a variety of question concerning the pandemic and  response to it. Trump’s response is approved by 37%. Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis, a close Trump ally,  has the approval of 38%. About 61% of those surveyed said they knew someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. This number goes up to 74% in Miami and southeast Florida.

924 self-identified registered voters in Florida were surveyed from July 16 – 20 with a margin of error of +/- 3.2 percentage points.

The Quinnipiac University Poll conducts nationwide surveys and polls in more than a dozen states on national and statewide elections, as well as public policy issues.

Florida voters can request absentee ballots for all 2020 elections currently.

Currently, FL reg Dems have an unprecedented 470,631 lead over Reps in mail ballot requests, which are good thru the Nov election. Sure, some is shuffling around when/how people vote, but this should give the Biden campaign an advantage in banking votes.
