Although huge resources were expended for the current pandemic, when the next highly transmissible virus appears will we all be caught essentially unprepared again? For example, it would seem severely restricting travel and implementing quarantining are desirable as soon as possible to prevent transmission. Have any countries implemented new laws, new organizations, new procedures, new funding, etc., so their future response will be better than in the past? Not just for travel, but for testing, tracking, or any related measures?
