Pacifism vs. War a debate that is there for centuries. Cited from Wikipedia:
Pacifism is opposition to war, militarism (including conscription and mandatory military service) or violence. The word pacifism was coined by the French peace campaigner Émile Arnaud and adopted by other peace activists at the tenth Universal Peace Congress in Glasgow in 1901.
I am a Pacifist. At least I want to believe that I am a Pacifist. I want to believe that problems between countries and people can be resolved peacefully. But the reality is grim. We have local problems. Starting from friends and within family then in society then in a nation. After that we have full fledged wars between countries.
Can Pacifism ever be implemented globally through UN(United Nations) or by other means? Can't all the wars from today ever be averted by believing in Pacifism? Is Pacifism some luxurious idealism or is it here to stay? Do global leaders really want to have Pacifism in effect around the world?
