Why is not working from home/green commute is not seriously considered by Western governments to tackle climate change and to reduce Russian oil use?
In the time of pandemic work from home was widespread in most of European countries including the UK, which lead to drop in fuel prices. However, during the war in Ukraine, working from home was barely mentioned by the EU and I've heard nothing about it in the UK.
How is this situation different?
Wouldn't this help with both inflation as well as reducing demand for oil? Not to mention tackling climate change.
