Given the ongoing war, it seems to have become a fashion nowadays in political discourse to call others "Hitler". The commentators on TV, I see seem to have a bag full of that to go around throwing at people on the opposing side. Just compare Putin to some other evil dictator..there are plenty in history worse than Hitler. Given that Russia fought against Hitler, it's kind of a weird comparison.
Even regular people have started calling others Hitler in online discussions if they are on the opposing side of an argument. Also, does "sense of propotion" even mean anything? Hitler actually killed millions upon millions people day in day out..A leader gives a strongly worded statement..He is Hitler..urr..no he is not. In India opposition people call Narendra Modi..Hitler! What is this sudden obsession with Hitler(it is sudden..that is for sure)? Is it simply some debate tactic/ploy to put the other person on the defensive?
