Most headlines and big titles are focused on the threat of Ukraine being invaded by Russia. Heads of Western nations and members of NATO are all busy doing all they could to prevent the invasion.
All the retaliatory measures against Russia advanced by Western nations would, in my opinion, be unlikely to also be put ahead against China. China knows it. And Taiwan is far from Europe, and, besides the semi-conductor industry, much further from Europe's concerns than Ukraine is. Furthermore Taiwan isn't recognized as a country, Taiwan being known, ironically, as the Republic of China.
The world has its eye riveted on the Ukraine's border, isn't it an opportunity for China to invade Taiwan?
Edit (self analysis):
my question is explicitly formulated as a closed one ("isn't it ...") encouraging opinions ("yes" / "no"), rather than calling for constructed and documented answers. It is also too vague and general for a political discussion group. I understand the downvotes. Rather than reformulate it here and render the existing answers and comments less relevant, I will consider a better way to discuss the topic I wanted to bring about.
