If living in a zoo makes no difference to an animal why do zoos need to provide their animals with enrichment? [closed]

Doesn't the simple fact that zoos need to provide their animals with "enrichment" prove that zoos are inherently a miserable institution for animals?

Why isn't this a mainstream issues?
