Russia and Ukraine are two major exporters of wheat. Russian is the largest wheat exporter in the world, while Ukraine is the fifth-largest wheat exporter (see List of countries by wheat exports ). Together, they account for about a third of the world's wheat exports. Russia is also the largest exporter of fertilizers. They also export many other agricultural products.
It seems that the current war may lead to sharp increase in prices for agricultural products, causing starvation in some regions, especially Africa. My question is simple, how many people are going to die from starvation?
