How dangerous can this be in case of dictatorship, i.e. what is the worst that can happen, and is it possible for individuals to protect themself from it at all?
For example, there are many reports about profiling that already takes place in China (see here, here, here or here with extensive face or voice scans or DNA databases especially of ethnic minorities and combined with score systems). So at least for the example of China, the question should be answerable, how much does the profiling of Chinese people by the Chinese government contribute to the endurance of the Chinese system (or dictatorship)?
