Does it make sense to keep the ISS in operation and force the Western countries and the Russian federation to cooperate?

If the Wikipedia page about the ISS is up to date the current plan for the International Space Station is to keep the current cooperation with the Russian Federation until 2025, they might withdraw after that date, but nothing is certain, anyway, then the plan is to de-orbit the station in 2031.

The ISS has been in operation for more than 20 years and its mission has been extended several times, many goals have already been achieved. Does it make any sense to keep it active at the cost of cooperating with a country against which there are already active, although mild, sanctions?

According to this page if the Western countries wanted to terminate the cooperation the Russians have a plan B, that is to detach their own modules and create a new station. Encouraging them to follow that plan would force them to divert a lot of money from the war effort.
