Are there examples of convictions for war crimes committed with artillery or air power, in the absence of confessions/testimonials regarding intent?

I'm aware of a couple of ICTY cases (regarding attacks on Zagreb and Sarajevo) where convictions were secured by a combination of technical data and confessions at least of subordinates of the intent to attack civilians (with artillery--ranging from mortars to long-range cluster-warhead rockets).

But are there any known examples (not necessarily at ICTY) where convictions for war crimes (or crimes against humanity) committed with artillery or air power were obtained from technical data alone, i.e. sans any testimonial/confession from the side of accused regarding intent?
