Progressive Change Campaign Committee Mounts Pressure On Nancy Pelosi To Impeach Trump

Received this e-mail today from the Progressive Change Campaign Committee:

BREAKING: This morning, President Donald Trump directly acknowledged that he spoke with the president of Ukraine about investigating political opponent Joe Biden.

But in an interview with NPR, Nancy Pelosi reiterated yet against that she will not impeach Trump. This is unacceptable, and everyone is saying so.

Mimi Rocah, a former prosecutor, said to Pelosi: “Many of us have had faith in you, Speaker Pelosi. You are a smart, strong, strategic woman and politician. But time is up. We are out of patience and trust. The House is about to burn to the ground and you're in charge of the fire department. Let's go.”

Pod Save America's Jon Favreau says, “This is absolutely insane. We have lifelong conservatives writing pieces about how Trump should be impeached.”

Today, Congressman Adam Schiff — who had never previously supported impeachment — said impeachment “may be the only remedy that is coequal to the evil that that conduct represents. We very well may have crossed the Rubicon here.”

This shows that how out of touch Pelosi's position is. Tell her to hold Trump accountable now.

Elizabeth Warren: “After the Mueller report, Congress had a duty to begin impeachment. By failing to act, Congress is complicit in Trump’s latest attempt to solicit foreign interference to aid him in US elections. Do your constitutional duty and impeach the president.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: “At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior – it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it.”

Tim Nichols, longtime Republican: “I have never made the case for impeaching Trump, despite my belief that he has long merited impeachment. Until now. Telling Ukraine to investigate Biden was a gross abuse of power.”
