Republican Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey’s Second Congressional District is losing 48% to 43% to Amy Kennedy, according to a new poll by Public Policy Polling.
Van Drew, as you may remember, was elected as a Democrat in 2018 but change parties and supported Trump in the impeachment vote last January.
The poll also shows that Joe Biden is leading in the district 50% to 46%. Trump won this South Jersey district 50.6% to 46% in 2016. The PVI of the district is R +1%.
In polls taken since July, Van Drew has been ahead in two and behind in four. PPP is a Democratic pollster with a “B” rating.
