Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr. (D. PA) in support of these female Pennsylvania Democrats:
Here’s something we’re going to change this year: right now there are zero women in Pennsylvania’s Congressional delegation.
That shameful fact will become history on November 6, thanks to the seven Pennsylvania women running for Congress. I’m proud to share a ticket with Bibiana Boerio, Susan Boser, Madeleine Dean, Chrissy Houlahan, Jess King, Mary Gay Scanlon and Susan Wild, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting their campaigns.
Electing these leaders is crucial not just to Pennsylvania, but to our nation. Every model that shows Democrats winning the House majority in November depends on winning some of these key races. One-quarter of the seats that Democrats need to flip are right here in PA, so investing in these races is absolutely critical. Securing affordable health care, defending our public education system and protecting Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security — it’s all on the line. I know that if you help me to elect these women they’ll fight for these issues every day.
So please, if you can, support Bibiana, Susan, Madeleine, Chrissy, Jess, Mary and Susan, and help elect a Congress we can be proud of:
