NM-Sen: Sen. Dick Durbin (D. IL) Refuses To Let Gary Johnson Spoil Another Election

Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D. IL) in support of U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich’s (D. NM) re-election campaign:

Sen. Dick Durbin (D. IL)

You probably remember Gary Johnson from his Libertarian presidential bid in 2016. Yesterday, he announced a late entrance into the New Mexico Senate race, threatening our chances of winning back the Senate.

Democrat Martin Heinrich is a strong advocate for working families and now, he urgently needs our support to take on Johnson’s national network of GOP donors and Super PACs.

Can Martin count on you now, Sam? Contribute $5 to support Martin Heinrich in New Mexico as we fight for the Senate majority.

Winning the Senate is one of the most important ways we can stop the destructive Trump agenda in its tracks.

But Johnson’s entrance into the race just made our path to victory harder. And if elected, Johnson wants to repeal Obamacare, gut Medicare and Medicaid by almost half, and confirm a Supreme Court Justice who will overturn Roe v. Wade.

Martin Heinrich can defeat Johnson, but only if he’s able to respond quickly to this last-minute challenge. Contribute $5 now to re-elect Martin Heinrich and flip the Senate.

My best,

Dick Durbin
