We all know that Donald Trump is a bully. But right now he is more than a bully. He is a caged animal and he is behaving that way. His back is against the cage bars.

It isn't only that Trump is a wannabe autocrat like his daddy Putin. It is that he needs to be one. He needs to stay in power at all costs. You see, there is a good chance that upon being voted out of the White House, his next stop is likely to be the prison.

Remember, Trump is “Individual-1” in the Cohen federal criminal probe. Moreover, we expect that investigators will uncover tax fraud, real estate fraud, and money laundering when his tax records are released just after he loses the election.

It is not surprising that Trump will do what is necessary to win. But he is dependent on the continued indoctrination of his base and implanting fear of voting into those likely to vote against him for an electoral college win. Heilemann points out what the Democratic Party and us all must do between now and the election. Importantly as well, Nicolle Wallace makes it clear; it is essential that the media play its role.
