There are only two Democratic women senators up for reelection in 2020: New Hampshire’s Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Minnesota’s Sen.TinaSmith.

Senator Shaheenis one of the most graceful, impressive leaders I’ve worked with in Washington. But New Hampshire’s status as a presidential battleground means this seat is a top target for Republicans.
And it gets worse: Former Trump campaign managerCorey Lewandowski just met with Trump and his staff to talk about his run for this seat.If he jumps in, we can expect him to make the race much more negative, and much more expensive.
SenatorSmith’slikely opponent is former Congressman Jason Lewis, who lost his seat in 2018 after making disgusting comments disparaging women, minorities, the LGBTQ community, and people with disabilities.
We know the Trump campaign thinks it can win Minnesota—and defeatTina—if they funnel enough dark money into the state.Tina’s a fighter for election transparency and women’s reproductive health care—we can’t afford to lose her voice, especially not to Trump’s newest “mini me.”
