Received this e-mail today from Executive Council Member Andru Volinsky’s (D. NH) gubernatorial campaign:
Happy 50th Anniversary Earth Day!
We’re so excited that the Sierra Club announced their endorsement of Andru for governor this morning, citing him as the clear best choice for moving New Hampshire forward towards a clean energy future.
Andru knows that New Hampshire can and should be a leader in the fight to combat climate change. That starts with a strong climate champion in the governor’s office who always denies dirty checks from fossil fuel companies and all corporate PACs and LLCs. You can help make that a reality come November by chipping in to this campaign right now.
It’s no wonder Andru secured the Sierra Club’s endorsement, his climate bonafides speak for themselves.
He’s put forward an aggressive agenda to fight climate change, including setting a goal of reaching a net carbon-neutral state for the electrical, transportation, and heating sector by 2030.
Today, Andru signed the Green New Deal Pledge, promising to push for progressive climate policy and achieve the clean energy future we need right here in New Hampshire.
And, he’s the only candidate in this race who has opposed Liberty Utilities’ proposed Granite Bridge pipeline—a fracked gas, for-profit pipeline that will endanger our communities if it’s allowed to go forward.
We need leaders like Andru who aren’t afraid to make the necessary, but tough decisions. He’s the only candidate whose commitment to our environment is not predicated on political expediency.
