New 1/6 conspiracy indictment: III-% 'militia' group helped set up an insurrection plan
New Federal indictment of another group organizing actions at the 1/6 insurrection. “Police chief turned OC yoga guru turned capitol rioter/ III percenter.”
Two of them, Alan Hostetter and Russell Taylor, were seen a day before the riot with Roger Stone.
These charges are separate from the 16 members of the #OathKeepers who are also charged with their own alleged conspiracy in the case. These #ThreePercenters are linked to the California-based American Phoenix Project.
More from the indictment:
On Dec. 30th, Three Percenter Russell Taylor posted to his Instagram account plans to meet up with other “patriots” in DC, saying: “we will be part of the large effort for the ‘Wild Rally’ that TRUMP HAS ASKED US TO BE PART OF.” (Emphasis mine). pic.twitter.com/0RPZSR4M3K

Federal prosecutors have obtained a conspiracy indictment against six men allegedly affiliated with a “California Patriots” group for plotting to obstruct the electoral vote count on Jan. 6.
The indictment, returned by a grand jury in Washington on Wednesday and made public on Thursday, says the effort by the six grew out of the American Phoenix Project — a California-based group created to protest coronavirus restrictions.
Some or all those indicted identified themselves as “Three Percenters,” who view themselves as the modern-day equivalent of the small fraction of American colonists who actively fought the British during the Revolutionary War era, the indictment claims.
The charges in the case include conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding and unauthorized entry to a Secret Service-restricted area — in some cases, with weapons.
The new indictment appears to be the third major conspiracy case lodged by prosecutors in connection with events at the Capitol on Jan. 6.
