NC-Sen: VoteVets Launches Huge Ad Campaign Slamming Thom Tillis' (R) Record Voting Against Veterans
Received this e-mail today from VoteVets in support of Cal Cunningham’s (D. NC) U.S. Senate campaign:
Exciting news out of North Carolina today.
We just announced a major ad buy featuring former U.S. Army Captain and Fayetteville, North Carolina resident Amy Rutkowske sharing an important reminder of Thom Tillis’ selfish votes that have hurt and harmed our troops during his time in the Senate.
We’re proud to have backed Iraq and Afghanistan veteran Cal Cunningham early on in this race and it’s because of our team’s support that he’s one of our best chances to flip a seat from red to blue this November. It’s with your financial support to emails just like this one that we’re able to create these ads and spend big in critical states to protect and fight for our military families and veterans.
We can’t let up now. Republican donors are already reaching into their pockets to counter our TV and online buys in North Carolina, spread misinformation about Cal, and protect their buddy Thom Tillis.
They don’t care that he voted to strip healthcare benefits away from half a million vets or voted for a pay cut for the military while voting for a raise for himself. They don’t care that for Thom Tillis, it’s all about taking care of Thom Tillis.
But we care — and as the largest grassroots organization fighting for veterans and military families, it’s up to us to send a real leader to the Senate this November by electing Cal Cunningham.
Everything we do, from organizing person-to-person online events to massive ad buys like this one in North Carolina, is powered by this team of dedicated activists who just want to fight for our troops the way they all fight for us.
We so appreciate all you do, and it’s making a real difference. Let’s keep it up.
