Received this e-mail today from Cal Cunningham’s (D. NC) U.S. Senate campaign:
Team — One of the most common concerns I hear from voters across North Carolina is the issue of health care in America today.
Everyone knows that our system is broken and costs are too high. But partisan politicians in Washington are desperate to undo the progress that’s been made in recent years and drive up costs even more.
My opponent, Republican Senator Thom Tillis, has voted repeatedly to repeal the Affordable Care Act — to take health care away from tens of millions of Americans and gut protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
Republican leaders are promising that if the GOP wins in 2020, they will vote once again to fully repeal the Affordable Care Act. We can’t let that happen.
The people of North Carolina deserve a U.S. Senator who will put their health care ahead of politics. That’s why I’m running, and why I’ll hope you’ll stand with me.
Thank you for making your voice heard.
