NC-09: Gov. Tom Wolf (D. PA) Refuses To Let The GOP Steal This New Election From Dan McCready (D)

2 min read

Received this e-mail today from Governor Tom Wolf (D. PA) in support of Dan McCready’s (D. NC-09) congressional campaign:

Dan McCready (D. NC-09)

Republican operatives didn't just try to steal an election in North Carolina — they stole votes.

Supporters of Republican congressional candidate Mark Harris illegally took absentee ballots from voters last fall, and for months, he and national Republicans claimed victory by a margin of just 905 votes.

But Dan McCready, a Democratic businessman and Marine veteran who ran against Harris, stood strong for voters in his district. And now, the state board of elections has finally ordered a new election.

If we want to stop Republican election-rigging for good — we must help Dan win this race.

Don't let Republicans steal another election. Chip in by Thursday at midnight to help us raise $20,000 from grassroots Democrats for North Carolina's Dan McCready by his first end-of-month deadline of the new election.

Last year, Democrats from across the nation chipped in to support Conor Lamb early on in his special election here in Pennsylvania.

When he won, it represented a powerful rebuke of the Trump agenda and helped fire up a movement to take back a Democratic majority Congress just months later.

If we help Dan McCready win now, it will show that our blue wave is still building — and that we won't let Republican voter suppression stand in our way.

Stand up to Republican election rigging now. Chip in to help us raise $20,000 from grassroots Democrats before Dan McCready's first end-of-month deadline of the new election.

Thanks for standing up for our democracy,
