NC-09: Beto O'Rourke (D. TX) Helps Dan McCready (D) Get Ready To Defeat The GOP Bathroom Bill Author

Received this e-mail from former Presidential Candidate & Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D. TX) in support of Dan McCready’s (D. NC-09) campaign:

Dan McCready (D. NC-09)

We’re more than 15 months away from the presidential election. But in North Carolina, an important special election is just seven weeks away. In a district roiled by a major ballot fraud scandal, Dan McCready is hoping to flip North Carolina’s 9th from red to blue.

Today we’re asking you to help us fundraise for Dan McCready, but first we want to explain why he needs your support:

  • First, the race is a TOSSUP according to Cook Political. A new poll yesterday showed the race all tied up (46-46).
  • Donald Trump and Mike Pence both held events for Dan’s opponent, because they know it’s a must-win race.
  • Dan McCready is a top target for the NRA, which is spending money to mail out attacks on him.
  • Above all, Dan is the right candidate for the job. A Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, he went on to found a solar energy company.

Dan’s not accepting ANY corporate PAC money, so he’s relying on grassroots fundraising to win. With just seven weeks left, he really needs our help.

Can you split $35 between Dan’s campaign and Beto right now to help us flip this district from red to blue? In a race this close, your contribution could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

The margin in November’s election in NC-9, despite severe election fraud and gerrymandering, was just 905 votes. A few more contributions from those of us on Team Beto could carry Dan across the finish line to a big win.

Let’s make this happen.
