MT-Gov: Sen. Jon Tester (D) Refuses To Let Greg Gianforte (R) Defeat Lt. Gov. Mike Cooney (D)

2 min read

Received this e-mail yesterday from U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D. MT) in support of Lt. Governor Mike Cooney’s (D. MT) gubernatorial campaign:

Listen, political experts are calling Mike’s election the most competitive Governor's race in the entire country.

Republicans have a real shot to flip Montana red and undo so much of the progress Mike, Governor Steve Bullock, and I have made the past few years.

But Montanans have rejected Mike’s Republican opponent Greg Gianforte before — his out of state millions and far-right agenda have no place in the Last Best Place.

Folks are casting their ballots as we speak so I promised Mike I would help him raise $5,OOO today to make sure he wins this ultra competitive race.

Can I count on you to chip in $5 or $1O before 11:59 PM to help elect Mike Cooney and defeat far-right Greg Gianforte? »

Rebecca, I know you can trust Mike Cooney to build on the progress we’ve made here in Montana.

Mike has dedicated his entire career to putting Montana's families first.

From creating good paying jobs to expanding access to health care — Mike has never backed down from a fight.

So we all need to rally around Mike and help him win.

If we don’t, Mike’s campaign won’t have the money it needs to reach crucial undecided voters that will decide the fate of this race.

This election will shape the future of Montana, so we need you in this fight. Can you chip in $5 to keep Montana blue? »

Thank you so much,
— Jon Tester
