MN-Sen: Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D. MA) Refuses To Let Trump's GOPer Defeat Tina Smith (D)

2 min read

Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator and Presidential Candidate, Elizabeth Warren (D. MA), in support of U.S. Senator Tina Smith’s (D. MN) re-election campaign:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D. MA)

Friend, there’s a whole lot on the line in Minnesota.

When Donald Trump set his eyes on winning Minnesota, we knew we had to keep our guard up. Now, far-right favorite Jason Lewis just announced he is challenging Tina Smith for her Senate seat.

Jason Lewis is extreme, and if he's elected, he could give Mitch McConnell and the fringe far-right everything they ever wanted.

I’ll just be blunt: The road to taking back the Senate gets way too rocky if we don’t defend Tina Smith.

I'm fighting to make sure that Democrats win across the country in 2020 — and keeping Tina in the Senate is one of my top priorities.

We have to fight for Tina. Please rush $10 or anything you can so we can defend Minnesota's Senate seat.

We've had enough of Mitch McConnell putting small-minded partisanship head of solving the massive problems facing this country. From securing our elections to defending health care, there's too much at stake to let Republicans keep blocking the change we need.

So if we're going to stop the stonewalling in the Senate and make Washington work for everyone, not just the rich and powerful, we have to stop Jason Lewis. And Tina needs as much grassroots support as possible to take on this threat.

If you’re in this fight all the way to retake the Senate for Democrats, please rush $10 or anything you can now to Tina.

Thanks for being a part of this,
